On reviewing "A Beautiful Day" Another great vocal performance Fiona. At the beginning of the song I thought you were going into Motown territory (loved the trebley rhythm guitar) but quickly switched gears for a more 'period' piece. Loving it ! Back up band is top notch as always and your delivery slays it. Great stuff !

On reviewing "A Beautiful Day" I was hoping I would be the first to see the 70's sound in this, but nope, .. but I hear so many late 60's and 70's artist in this . . not that it's old style, but that it's got that hit quality, that certain something that while you can put all the glitter and bounce on stage, it takes a first class song and a first class singer to bring it all to the table, which is what they had then .. great job on this song, production wise and the song as well .. as for your vocals it's all been said before, excellent!!

On "A Beautiful Day" - This is really good. Reminds of a Bill Withers tune, "Lovely Day", especially when you're holding those long notes. My honest opinion I can't hear one thing that is wrong with this. It is so well produced with that big seventy's pop sound. In the 70's I wasn't much of a fan of, Captain and Tennille, Abba or the Carpenters, but now-a-days it so much less common on the airwaves and it's quite refreshing to hear working in that direction. Well done Fiona this is one to be proud of.

RE: HERE TO STAY - Niceo voice all the way, very nice hook in the chorus. Like the bridge and the backing off to just vocals after that, like the note you hit "Stay", just a little unexpected, cool! Like the key change - nice job with this one.

One of favourite songs is Never Surrender Your Dreams! It gives me hope and the belief that I can do things that I thought I could never do! I also like If Just For One Night - can feel the love!!

RE: HERE TO STAY: You have a flair for accessible and catchy, Fiona. That's a killer chorus. I want you to know I was waving my arms in the air over here in Canada. I liked the drum break too. Kind of a country-meets-ABBA feel to this one. Fun stuff.

I can not make clever technical comments like some of the postings on here, but I can say that I am a big fan of your music and am touched by the lyrics - espcecially moved by "I Miss You Still" and "Why Can't You Say" - can't wait to get your album.

"Never Surrender Your Dreams" - Nice voice, like song good melody. Nice piano. Like the transistion notes between chorus, bridge and verses .. Like this .. A song writer friend of mine calls a song like this "you go girl song", I like a song with a good uplifting message. good one!

On Never surrender your dreams - 14/11/11

This song has a real Cinimatic feel to it, and if it were mine I would certainly be pitching it to some Indie film people . . your voice has a unique power to it .. when I say unique it does have a Olivia Newton John sound to a small extent, but it's certainly different from most voices you hear today from female singers . .. really well done .. rayski

I Miss you Still -

Geez, right off the bat I am taken by your voice and the tone of the music . . and then listening on the lyrics are a just as good as the song moves on .. but your voice seems to be one of those that they talk about as having power and emotion, a great mix . . Rayski AP, 12/11/11

I MISS YOU STILL - Nicely done! I'll admit up front that I'm not usually big on relationship songs but with a voice like that, you're doing a great job of selling it! I also love the B3 sound to get things going and everything builds nicely. Still, the show stopper for me is the voice. Very impressive! As far as mix/arrangement goes, everything is right where it should be and sounds very good. The vocal is right on top and everything else is there to support it. Well done! Steve Ambroise, 10/11/11

Your song: I MISS YOU STILL - Snagged me with that B-3. Love that organ setting. You have a phenomenal vocal range. Your backup band are tight and know how to drop in and out for maximum dynamic effect. The strings are really convincing to my ears and the lyrics will get to anyone that has ever let someone go that they probably shouldn't have. Sweet! Steve Andricks 10/11/11

The Song - "Never Surrender Your Dreams" is a very professional production. It reminds me of Olivia Newton John. It's not my favorite style of music but your voice is remarkable. Very clear and powerful I loved the way a background percussion sound was brought higher in the mix toward the end. It gave the song a very different quality. It may have been nice to hear more of that in the beginning. Chip Gibbons - 7/11/11

RE: NEVER SURRENDER YOUR DREAMS: This is very accessible commercial music but it retains an element of the folk tradition. Perhaps it's in the melody... quite lovely stuff and my goodness, what a voice!
